Bladder infection / cystitis – usually accompanied by frequent urge to urinate, pain during urination and foul-smelling urine.
Possible causes: anatomical differences, exposure to cold (especially cold feet and pelvis), emotional tension, previous colds or intestinal infections.
Constitutionally, those who are prone to urinary tract infections often have unstable temperature regulation (their hands and feet are frequently cold, yet they do not feel cold even when chilled). Many of them also suffer from recurrent upper respiratory infections with ear-nose-throat complications. Disturbances of the intestinal flora, frequent sugar consumption and insufficient fluid intake are additional predisposing factors.
INTERESTING! From another perspective: the person's “warmth organism” (as the carrier of spiritual and emotional life) is unable to sufficiently permeate the lower part of the body. Acute inflammation can therefore be viewed as an attempt by the organism to overcome this weakness. The aim of natural treatment methods is to prevent organ damage while helping the body restore balanced and stable functioning.
GOOD TO KNOW: E. coli bacteria are a natural part of the intestinal flora in healthy children and adults. However, they do not belong in the urinary tract. The immune system and the forces responsible for the body's anatomical structure and functional balance normally prevent these bacteria from entering the lower urinary tract in large numbers and ascending toward the kidneys. If these protective forces are blocked or weakened, foreign pathogens may penetrate areas where they do not belong.
Treatment may take place on several levels
The pH-PENDULUM method™ is an innovative, proven and safe method that follows the body's natural rhythm.
The warmth organism connected to the urinary organs may be stimulated through warming external applications (foot baths, compresses). Warm clothing and warm nutrition are also important. Phosphorus in potentized form may also be given medicinally.
The functioning of the immune system against misplaced bacteria may be strengthened using herbal remedies (Thuja, Dulcamara, Juniperus), Mercurius vivus, or the appropriate “Nebuchadnezzar” remedy of the bacteria.
The reduction of emotional sensitivity and pain perception may be supported with homeopathic remedies of animal origin (Cantharis, Apis, Lachesis). However, strengthening and harmonizing the emotional resilience of the organism is equally important. As strange as it may sound, this may also include resolving family conflicts and learning healthier ways of dealing with nervousness and excessive intellectual stimulation.
The stimulation of organ-forming forces (Argentum, Equisetum, Solidago, Vesica urinaria …)
When treatment is structured in this way, the patient's own self-healing forces are supported, guided and stimulated first.
Treatment of uncomplicated infections
A pre-warmed cloth with eucalyptus oil placed over the bladder area relaxes tense and irritated muscles, reduces pain, activates the local immune system and provides warmth.
Preparation: dilute one drop of concentrated essential oil with nine drops of olive or sunflower oil, and drip the mixture onto a cotton handkerchief.
During acute infections, children should drink approximately 1 liter and adults about 2 liters of warm herbal tea daily.
Which herbs may also be useful?
- Bearberry leaf, blueberry leaf, blueberry berries, knotgrass, wild pansy herb, purslane herb, birch leaf, ground ivy herb, chamomile flowers, restharrow root, mistletoe, couch grass root, yarrow herb and licorice root.
- Aktimun tea is particularly suitable for these infections.
- Sweet grapefruit seed extract, Echinacea and cat’s claw may also be helpful in acute cases.
- Herbal extract combinations may also be used.
Chamomile sitz baths are also beneficial, as they reduce inflammation in addition to relieving pain.
ATTENTION! It is important not to neglect the body's warmth regulation: avoid swimming pools, wear warm socks and shoes, use warming foot baths with gradually increasing temperature, and consume warm food and drinks. Warm foot baths with ginger powder or mustard flour can be particularly effective. In chronic cases, blockages in the lower spinal region (thoracic vertebrae 10–12) are common. In such situations, manual medicine, osteopathy and chiropractic treatment may help.
Besides the remedies mentioned above, commonly used potentized remedies include autologous blood homeopathy, Sarsaparilla, Lycopodium, Chimophilia, Capsicum, Pareira brava, Acidum nitricum, Acidum phosphoricum, Acidum formicicum, Hepar sulfuris and Terebinthina.
EXTRA TIP: alternating tea cure
Bacteria and viruses are adapted to relatively narrow pH ranges. If the pH changes or fluctuates by 1–2 units, they often cannot tolerate it, their reproduction stops, and in some cases the pathogens may die.
Prepare two thermos flasks with two different warm teas. One should be alkaline (horsetail, nettle, etc.), the other acidic (green tea, tannin-rich black tea, etc.). Empty the bladder, then drink 300–400 ml from one thermos. Within about half an hour, the liquid reaches the bladder and creates either an alkaline or acidic environment there. When the bladder becomes full, empty it and drink 300–400 ml from the other thermos. About 15–20 minutes later, empty the bladder again so the effects of the two teas mix as little as possible. After another 15–30 minutes, the bladder environment shifts toward the opposite pH value (the fluctuation may reach 4–5 pH units). If this seems too complicated, simply alternate the teas 3–4 times daily.
GOOD TO KNOW!
Sometimes no pathogens — and barely any white blood cells — can be detected in the urine. In such cases, emotional factors such as tension, overload, accidents or shock often lie behind the frequent urge to urinate or painful urination (pollakisuria). Relaxation techniques, acupuncture, acupressure, certain massage therapies, kinesiology and psychotherapy may help relieve these symptoms.
